If you’re already
a customer of The Paint and Body Shop in Hull, you’ll probably
recognise the
familiar
face of our
Bodyshop Manager, Alex.
This week, we caught up with Alex and asked him to take part in our
quickfire Q&A series...
What's your role at the React Accident Repair Group?
I’m proud to be the Bodyshop Manager at React’s Hull Branch – The Paint and Body Shop.
How long have you worked for the company?
I’ve worked at The Paint & Body Shop since 1997! Over that time, I’ve seen the company go from strength to strength and I’m excited about the future of the React Group. Welcoming our new Scunthorpe-based team onboard and offering our services to more people in the region is a great opportunity and challenge for the whole team.
What are your favourite aspects of your role in the team?
I like the variety of my role. There are the daily items that need completing, which I enjoy but there’s also the unknown, which you can’t plan for. I like to support and discuss these situations with the team so, together, we can achieve the best solution for everyone.
I’m a people-person and I really enjoy interacting with the team and supporting them wherever I can. This can be as varied as helping with customer queries in the reception and estimating damaged vehicles, to chucking on my overalls and helping the team in the workshop where needed.
I like to work closely with the workshop controller to make sure that we’re completing all tasks, from the daily running of the company to the monthly and annual tasks, both efficiently and to a high standard.
What do you see as the strongest aspects of the React service for clients?
I feel that, as a company, we have learnt a lot, through various challenges and milestones over the years. We have developed efficient processes to help deliver the highest standards of customer service and vehicle repair, and to foster a positive workplace culture.
I’m proud to have such a strong team at React, with many having been with the company for many years, and to have achieved various qualifications from most major manufacturers, the Institute of Motor Industry, and, most recently, securing BSI Kitemark approved status for our Scunthorpe site.
As a team, we have good working relationships with most major insurers, engineering companies, manufacturers and local specialist companies. Our friendly and people-focused approach ensures we can complete repairs quickly and always to a high standard.
